How many sessions will I need?

It is very difficult to predict this for each person until we are in session as it depends upon multiple factors including a person’s specific therapy goals, how they get on with in-between session work, and how a person’s symptoms are responding to treatment.  This question we can discuss in the first few sessions and we can get an estimate based upon the therapy goals and once the treatment plan is set out in place.

In a very simple context some of the more straight forward anxiety disorders can be significantly improved in approximately 8-12 sessions.  CBT for Chronic Health Management can take a lot longer and is very much dependent upon the person’s condition and what the person is trying to achieve with management or recovery, but even a shorter term treatment can greatly improve someone’s situation.
